Good Afternoon:
My ASA 5510 has consumed 189 MB of 200MB in memory RAM. This is normal or i have some problem?.
Thanks in advance.

This is certainly very high.
If it's running 8.0 code, try disabling threat detection.See if it helps.
Issue :
sh run threat-detection
Add " no " in front of the results.
For example,
ASA-5510-8x(config)# sh run threat-detection
threat-detection basic-threat
threat-detection scanning-threat shun
threat-detection statistics host
threat-detection statistics access-list
Issue :
ASA-5510-8x(config)# no threat-detection basic-threat
ASA-5510-8x(config)# no threat-detection scanning-threat shun
ASA-5510-8x(config)# no threat-detection statistics host
ASA-5510-8x(config)# no threat-detection statistics access-list
This would reduce the memory usage.
If even after this, there is slow increase in memory usage, open up a TAC case for troubleshooting.
Please rate if helps.

Sushil

Good day Sushil:
Thank's for your answer.
I applied the command to disable the threat-detection, and the memory cosume reduced to 140 MB.
Another cuestion. Disabling this the ASA lose the monitoring to attacks??.
Thank's in advanced.

Not at all,
It's a new feature in 8.x code.Even without this feature, firewall is secure enough....and it's very normal to disable it under low memory conditions.
