nat or no nat on asa (security levels)

is there any security concerns on using nat or no nat between interfaces (or security levels) on asa's?

Re: nat or no nat on asa (security levels)

Dear,

NAT is usually used for network structure hiding. if you have many steps doing NAT like ASA connected to routers or core switches that will also do NAT it's best practice to remove NAT from some of these stages to simplify network troubleshooting.

for me I always use no-nat and only apply NAT to subnets I like to protect or publish to the internet.

hope this is helpful for you,

M.Moustafa.
