NAT is usually used for network structure hiding. if you have many steps doing NAT like ASA connected to routers or core switches that will also do NAT it's best practice to remove NAT from some of these stages to simplify network troubleshooting.
for me I always use no-nat and only apply NAT to subnets I like to protect or publish to the internet.
