Need a howto or example of ALG for sip inbound with NAT
Hi fellow router people. I have recently replaced a Netgear router with a Cisco 1721. Firstly, I noticed a speed improvement, and my connection to my outbound trucks (SIP) also improved. Now the fun part. I'm trying to get inbound SIP traffic from extensions into my Asterisk server, E.G. my WiFi phone. I don't understand the ALG, and currently have it off with no ip nat service sip udp 5060. I am port forwarding 5060 and many udp RTP ports, which sort of works, but I do think the ALG would be the best way.
Anyone out there have this knowledge?
I think I need to use the ip nat piggy-back method, but don't know how to do this to get this going.
