not able to upgrade Pix-525 FO License

Not  abe to upgrade the IOS image PIx7.0  from earlier version 6.3   in  to my old Pix-525 FO(Secondary unit) license box .

Is it possible to upgrade without Primary unit (Unrestricted License)  ?

I have verified the hardware requirement its suffucient to upgrade to 7.0 .

It should be possible. Note that the FO unit cannot operate independently and thus needs to be connected to its mate. You should be able to follow this procedure.

What issue were you seing or procedure were you following when you were unable to upgrade?

Hi Marvin,

Iam trying to upgrade the PIX-525 FO  individually  i dont have Mate  unit with me,   Assigned IP address to my laptop in the same subnet of Pix inside interface , But not able to ping the Pix inside interface IP from Laptop  also from the inside interface to Laptop . Tried with Straight and Cross cable .

I believe you need the units connected when you do an upgrade. the FO-licensed unit cannot be accessed via its network interfaces in stand alone mode.
