Hi,

I can see the first time in my life firewall PIX 501.

I have got a small network which looks like that:

VPN remote client

-

8x.145.95.xxx

DSL

192.168.2.254

|

|

|

192.168.2.13(DHCP)

PIX501

192.168.1.1

|

|

|

192.168.1.2

SBS_2k3

192.168.69.1

I have got VPN via pptp on SBS 2k3 but when I added PIX 501 I cant configure it.

Is anyone who can help me and prepare full config with my addresses for PIX Version 6.3(5).

Thank you very very much.

hello,

sure, i will help you in it. but first tell me some details about your setup

1. your DHCP is on your LAN

2. you are connecting your firewall 501 between your LAN and your "server farm" (SBS)

3. 192.168.69.1 what is this? who's ip address?

4. have you already configued anything on this firewall 501 or is it fresh.

waiting for reply.

Hi,

First see my attachments.

1. I have DHCP on my DSL but only for printer and other WiFi devices. Adrsss pool 192.168.2.10 to 192.168.2.253.

PIX has 192.168.2.13 (of course I will change it for a static IP)

Inside PIX there is adress 192.168.1.1

Next there is Small Business Sefver 2k3 with its static IP 192.168.1.2

Second interface of SBS has 192.168.69.1

next there is a switch and rest of devices recive DHCP from SBS in pool of addresses 192.168.69.x

Ad 4) I have just configured intenrnt through the PIX.

hello,

could you tell me what's the default GW for your client i suspect it would be SBS rite, if that's the case then all the client access outside through the SBS rite.
