PIX 501 trying to get to internet, simple problem i'm sure

Ok. We are having problems getting on the internet. Our setup is like this, SBC modem -> PIX501 -> Switch -> Network of PCs. The IP of our modem is 10.10.10.100 and I believe the ip of our PIX is 10.10.10.1. DHCP is disabled on the modem but now the default gateway is being assigned to all of the PCs as 10.10.10.1 and therefore we have no internet. How can I fix this? How do I set the PIX to give the default gateway as 10.10.10.100 instead? Thanks for the help

The SBC modem should be setup in Bridge Mode. Is it?

Hi ,

you will need to fix your network addresses. The subnet between modem and pix should be different to subnet between pix and PCs

e.g. sbc modem inside interface = 10.10.20.100/24, pix outside interface=10.10.20.1/24, pix inside interface 10.10.10.1/24. Configure Pix default gateway = 10.10.20.100 and configure static route on modem to point to 10.10.20.1 for the 10.10.10.0/24 network. Configure dhcp on pix and assign scope 10.10.10.10 - 10.10.10.100 mask 255.255.255.0. Configure dhcp options to assign to clients default router = 10.10.10.1

Hope this helps

Can you by chance give me specific instructions on how to do that with my setup? To be honest with you I don't know much about this yet and am just trying to get it running for us. Any specific instructions that would be easy to follow for someone who doesn't know much about cisco would be appreciated. Thanks.
