pix 515E 7.21 logging enable problem.

i have a pix 515E(UR), WITH 128MB RAM,16MB FLASH.

I Upgrade os to 7.21 with ASDM5.21 Version.

but i got a problem.

if i enable logging function.

the cpu usage will rise to 96%

if i disable it. it back to 3~10%. its never happen when i use 6.3(3) and PDM3.0 ,i used to cache the syslog message it shows as blow

Local4.Info 192.168.51.253 %PIX-6-302020: Built ICMP connection for faddr kk/0 gaddr 192.168.51.253/0 laddr 192.168.51.253/0

Local4.Info 192.168.51.253 %PIX-6-302021: Teardown ICMP connection for faddr kk/0 gaddr 192.168.51.253/0 laddr 192.168.51.253/0

"kk"is my syslog and asdm server.

192.168.51.253 is inside interface ip address.

where's the problem?

Hi

Can you configure your pix to login information pertaining to specific levels ?

You can do the same using the command logging level 4 which will log all the logs related to message level 0 to 4 ..

Hi,

I have an idea , but dont know if it will work. the idea is to increase the timeout on the pix using the command

sysopt connection timeout

with regadrs

ala al najjar
