Pix 525 6.3(4) to Pix 535 7.2(4)

We just purchased a refurbished Pix 535 with ver 7.2(4) as a temp. solution until a backorderd ASA5550 arrives.

The Pix 535 will replace our existing Pix 525, which has ver 6.3(4).

I've read through some of the config. coversion documention concerning Interfaces and Fixup protocols.

Our Pix 525 has a very basic config.  We don't do NAT and only have an access-list configured for our Outside interface.

Concerning the NAT.  Will the following statements work on version 7.2(4).  We still do not want to perform any NAT.

nat (inside) 0 155.42.0.0 255.255.0.0 0 0

static (inside,outside) 155.42.0.0 155.42.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 0 0

Thanks,

Tom

Yes those commands will work on v7.2(4) although they seem to be doing the same thing.

Thanks Jon.

I haven't work on a firewall in a couple of years, so I wanted to make sure the migration went smoothly.

I always get confused around the NAT syntax.

Again, I appreciate your quick response.

Thanks,

Tom
