Does any one have a basic config for hosting an email server with a pix 6.3
I know there would be an inbound natted public ip. But for the outbound how do i nat it to the same public ip. Do i need to create a global/nat config just for that email server?
I have a pat overload on the interface for web surfing. thanks all

You can either port forward or configure a static 1:1 NAT

You could do this one of two ways.
If you only have 1 Public Address, not really a choice, put you would PAT incoming email (port 25) to your inside host with a command such as:
static (inside,outside) tcp public-IP 25 10.10.10.10 25 netmask 255.255.255.255
Or a static command:
static (inside,outside) public-IP 10.10.10.10 netmask 255.255.255.255
Where in the second command, you are not using your outgoing PAT, jsut a different address (that you own).
