PIX equivalent of IOS "set peer hostX.mydomain.net dynamic"

Is there a way to configure a DNS name as a VPN peer in a PIX?

In IOS there is "Real-Time Resolution for an IPSec Peer". Is there something similar for the PIX? If not does anyone know if it is on the cards? It made it into the IOS, so I would hope the PIX would have it too!

Hi,

Per the following document, you should be able to do it :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/secursw/ps2120/products_command_reference_chapter09186a00801727a6.html#wp1034654

HTH,

Please rate if it helps,

Regards,

Kamal

As far as I can work out the hostname options can only be a locally configured names/name. There is no way for the PIX to dynamically resolve anything with DNS or otherwise. If anybody else knows please post it...
