PIX trap setup

PIX 515 using v7.2

I want to send snmp trap \ syslog via inside interface to syslog server

I have this configured:

snmp-server host inside 10.10.0.3 community Bleek

snmp-server enable traps syslog
no snmp-server enable

does it make sense?

Re: PIX trap setup

Ofir,

To send normal syslogs (udp port 514) to a server....

logging on

logging trap 7             <<<<< Change the number to match the level at which you wish to log... 7 Is debug level...

logging host inside 10.10.0.3

To send SNMP traps to a snmp server....

snmp-server enable traps all

snmp-server host inside  10.10.0.3 community Bleek

To send SYSLOG messages inside SNMP traps...

logging on

logging history 7             <<<<< Change the number to match the level at which you wish to log... 7 Is debug level...

snmp-server enable traps all

snmp-server host inside  10.10.0.3 community Bleek

Hope that helps...

- Magnus
