Pix515e will not accept command

I have a Pix515e running Version 6.1(4)when I go to add access-list it allows me to add them giving no error, but when I do a Sh configuration it doesn't show what I have added.

I added the same lines to a Pix515e running version 6.3 and it works fine.

Do I need to do a write memory before I do a show configuration so that it will display what I have added?

The show config command is equivalent to "show startup-config", if you din't issue a write mem after acl statement configuration it will not show in startup-config but it will show in " show running-config",you need to write mem to be able to see it in show config.
