Hi i'm leading a computer team for a small company. My staff has acquired a PIX535 in the way to fight spams coming from our network and going outside. can PIX535 do it easilly?

I dont think with the pix but the ASA's are modular design that allows you to add features such as intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-virus,
anti-spam, anti-phishing, and URL filtering
ASA's have a module to do Anti-spam, anti-phishing, URL filtering. Also can do Content Security (anti-virus, anti-spyware, file blocking) with SSM Module.
For the PIX, you might have to get a third party solution.

At a minimum you could set the pix to allow outgoing mail to originate only from your mail server. This could potentially stop outgoing spam from infected hosts etc. This is easily done with an access list in the pix.
