Hello everybody,
A very simple question about the protocols for acl on asa.
From the 3 main choices let say you have ip, tcp, udp.I am trying to figure out what excatly the is in this "ip" choice. Isn't it like tcp and udp combined ?
Thanks for you help.

Hello Jean,
The ip stands for internet protocol and it includes all the protocols available, which is both tcp and udp. If you want to allow traffic for all the IP protocols you use the option 'ip' in the access-list.
Hope that helps,
Thanks,
