Question about ASDM packt tracer function and ping

We are getting complaints that 192.168.0.165 is unreachable for vpn users.

I can ping from my local network

I looked at ASDM packt tracer and am not

sure what i would choose as an option for a simple ping test.

I chose the inside interface..

entered the inside interface IP address

gave the destination IP address

ICMP

and am not sure about code..type..or ID?

any ideas?

Hello Richard,

It is type=8 code=0 . I suggest you to refrain from using PING while testing availability, when a firewall is involved, or %100 sure that PINGs are permitted through. Following command set for ASA will make sure of it

policy-map global_policy

class inspection_default

inspect icmp
