Question about setting up a failover asa 5520

Im reviewing documentation on how to set this up..

Am I correct in assuming that I only need to configure a few lines..ip address etc

on the secondary...connect it to

a switch..

than the primary will send its configuration to the secondary?

In short yes you are pretty much spot on. You need to add failover configuration lines which includes IP addressing and then the active firewall will copy the entire running config to the standby -
