regarding ASA ASDM

Hi All,

                My ASA software version is 8.2 (2) and ASDM version is 6.2(5) .Now I m getting the error when I try to launch asdm image from Vista OS PC. the error is : your firewall image has a version number null which is not supported by ASDM 6.2 (5). Plz help me to sort out this issue .

The versions are correct and should be compatible.  I just checked mine and they are the same.  I would bet that you have a Java issue.  I am using a Mac so mine is probably not the same, but I am running 1.6.0_17.

This used to work and then stopped, right?  What changed?  Did you just upgrade the ASA?  Did you upgrade Java?

Maybe someone here that is also at this latest version can verify what version of Java they have?

What version of Java are you using?

The latest stable version of Java I have found for ASDM use is jre-6u7.

Give that a try.
