Reset ASA password

hi all,

sorry if i sound a noob here, but i was playing around with my 5505 and configured passwords on it.

i want to remove them since it's a lab FW but to no avail.

is there a command to remove or reset them back to blank like a no enable password in router IOS?

for now i just did a write erase and got them removed.

ciscoasa(config)# no passwd 2KFQnbNIdI.2KYOU encrypted

ciscoasa(config)# no enable password 2KFQnbNIdI.2KYOU encrypted

There is no such command,

The only thing you can do is to overwrite it,

hi,

i suspect that as well even though i did a write erase, it still shows the hashed passwords with show run.

but i can go directly to privileged mode without an enable password.

Exactly, cosmetic does not look good right but that's just how the ASA looks with the enable password hashes
