I have had a few situations where a pix firewall would reboot randomly, and once it came backup, I was no longer able to remotely SSH to the box.
Assuming the configuration was saved, which it was, has anyone seen this before? I have had it happen with 2 PIX 501s and a PIX 506.
I do not know for sure what caused the reboot, but when I do a SSH from a linux box and turn on debug, it says that the remote peer closed the session, aka the PIX is terminating the session for some reason.
