I have a pair of ASA 5520's configured for active/standby failover. I just purchased 25 SSL VPN license. When I applied the license to the primary it broke failover because of the license difference. What are my options, I cannot believe I have to purchase an additional set of licensing for the failover device?

It would be logical that in an active/standby failover implementation that a single set of licenses would work with both ASAs. But I do not believe that this is what Cisco implemented. As far as I know you do indeed need to purchase a second set of licenses. If anyone knows differently please post it here.

Thanks Rick, that seems to be the word I am getting. Does anyone know how Juniper impliments their licensing for Active/Standby VPN appliances?
