Syslog Doubt: What is "NP Identity"?

Hi,

I am working on closing some any/any traffic through our fw, but I have a doubt regarding the syslog message. What is the meaning of the "NP Identity" shown below?

Dec 26 07:14:28 [aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa.2.2] FWNAME %ASA-6-302015: Built outbound UDP connection 1075306 for inside:bbb.bbb.bbb.bbb/162 (bbb.bbb.bbb.bbb/162) to NP Identity Ifc:aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa/162 (aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa/162)

aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa = snmp server

bbb.bbb.bbb.bbb = ip address of interface 0/1

Thanks!

Hi

looking at the message it seems you have a have SNMP traffic going through the ASA, the original control connection has been initiated from the inside. To answer your question NP identity this will be association of a name with an IP address.

Use show ip address to see the ip address of NO Identity.
