T1 with firewall

I am going to put in a T1 circuit to a remote office. I have a couple of adtran CSU's that I thought I would use and then connect to a ethernet port on the asa 5510's. I was told I cant do that because the CSU's will not talk to an ethernet port. Does anyone know what kind of equipment I can purchase to get the T1 to talk to the ethernet port on the firewall?

A router needs to terminate that T1 with a serial interface. ASA's do not have /support serial interfaces. Instead of an ASA, you could use a router with a security bundle. That rotuer could terminate the T1 and provide firewall services.

They were correct in telling you that the CSU can not talk to an Ethernet port. The best way to connect a T1 and be able to talk to an Ethernet port is to use a small router which will do very well to connect T1 on a serial interface and forward that traffic out an Ethernet port.
