tftp server does not work

a new asa 5505,version7.2,want to update ios,tftp server connects to inside interface, can ping tftp server at asa.but when i was issuing the "copy tftp:// X.X.X.X / <filename> disk0:/<filename>".getting a error"%Error accessing tftp (timed out 0...),issuing "write net" ,same error?

please help.

Review this example.., make sure  tftp service  is indeed  running on the server .  are you issuing  copy tftp disk0 and pressed enter?  this is the easiest process there is  for a tftp server on the inside ,   the rest should be asked by firewall.

asa#copy tftp disk0
