VLAN Interfaces on PIX 535 code v8.0(4)

Alright,

again, i need some help...

I'm trying to configure 802.1Q trunking on my Pix 535...If i understand correctly, I have to make the physical interface a member interface of a redundant interface and then create a sub-interface on the redundant to assign my VLAN in.

I then allocate the sub-interface to the security context (running multi context mode).

It seems straight forward, unless i dont understand the process...

BUT,

when i try to create an access (exp: ICMP permit any echo <interface>   there are no interfaces to select from, even though the interface clearly is listed in the security context's configuration.

I have verified that all interfaces are in a no shut condition...but short of that, i'm not sure what to check for...

any ideas would be helpful...

Bruce
