Vlan on pix 525 running 7.0

Hi,

I have a pix 525 running 7.0 software version.

The gigabit interface is configured in the following way:

interface gigabitethernet0/1

nameif housing

security-level 60

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0

I want a vlan to use the gigabit, does this conf correct?

interface gigabitethernet0/1.10

vlan 10

nameif myvlan

security-level 60

ip address y.y.y.y 255.255.255.0

On the switch that connect to the giga i allowed a trunk with housing native vlan

(i know traffic forwareded by physical interface is untagged)

Thanks

Re: Vlan on pix 525 running 7.0

Hello,

That configuration is correct. Packets destined for the y.y.y.y network (or routed out that interface) will go out tagged as vlan 60, and packets for x.x.x.x network (or routed out that interface) will be untagged, and go on the 'native' vlan of the trunk you have configured on the switch.
