Websense URL filtering - based on conditions

Hi friends,

The FWSM is configured to send http requests to a URL filtering server.

But even requests to DMZ-hosted web servers from inside hosts are going to Websense.

Is there a way where http requests from inside hosts to DMZ web servers are allowed to bypass the URL filtering server as these requests are all legitimate requests.

Thanks a lot

Gautam

Re: Websense URL filtering - based on conditions

Dear friends,

I just found an answer to my own question. There is a filter url except command that helped me to bypass filtering for DMZ web hosted web servers.

I used that and it worked. The main reason why i wanted to filter was that Websense has a 2500 session limit and i was getting alarms, hence the need to filter.

Thanks a lot

Gautam
