What happens when you execute "clear xlate"

Obviosuly this clears the translation slots but in TCP terms - how does this process happen does this send a reset ? what flags are used ? FIN/FIN ?

Certainly on pix v6.x when you type in "clear xlate" nothing is sent to the client.

Only when the client tries to carry on with the connection does it receive a RESET.
