What the difference between cisco ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 and ASA5505-BUN-K9 ?

I search for the internet and try to buy ASA5505-BUN-K9 or ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 . Are those two firewall products can meet my requirements ?

Re: What the difference between cisco ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 and ASA

Hello,

Did you mean K8 and K9???

If that is the case it just refers to the encryption algorithm that the unit comes with.

So with K8 you will not be supporting the strongest encryption algorithms by default (but you can request for it via a license that is for free).

K9 let's say already comes with that license

So it's related to that directly.

Both of them can do the same as you have the encryption license!

Re: What the difference between cisco ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 and ASA

It has to do with the license which is installed on the ASA appliance when it is shipped.  the SEC BUN will have the security plus licens with unlimited user connections, and the regular BUN will have the base license installed and is limited to 10 user connection.

ASA5505-BUN-K9     -     Cisco ASA 5505 Appliance with 10-User Firewall License, 8 FE

ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9     -    Cisco ASA 5505 Appliance with Unrestricted Firewall License, Security Plus, 8 FE
