2500 at the prompt hostname (boot)

Can anyone tell me how to clear the (Boot) after hostname on IOS 11.2 2500 router. We took a power hit on this router and After rebooting it has (Boot) after the hostname. Router is working fine with no problems !!

This means that the router is running the boothelper image, and not the full IOS image. you can verify this by looking at a show ver.

Usually this means that the boot statement is pointing to the wrong image, or the IOS image is corrupt.

Under ( sh version ) it says [Checksum error] Anything I can do to fix this remotely. Or just replace with new router ?

I doubt that there is anything you can do about this remotely. I have seen symptoms like this a few times where memory was not well seated (the router had been moved) and re-seating the memory cleared it up. But that is not a remote operation. And if the router was running ok up to the power hit it seems less likely to be a candidate for reseating. It sounds to me like the router is a prime candidate for replacement.
