3560 connected to Mediaconverter doesn't work

I have a problem connecting a cisco 3560 switch to a mediaconverter. I was wondering if the interface might need some kind of extra command to be able to talk with it.

The setup is.

3560 FiberModule -> FiberPatchPanel -> Mediaconverter -> 2950 without fiber.

Are you trying to go from a gig interface to a copper 100 meg interface? If so, this will not work. You would have to go gig to gig. If not, check to make sure the speed and duplex settings are correct. A lot of media converters do not auto negotiate. Hope this helps.

verify the following if possible:

1) fiber cable to patchPanel is OK

2) mediaConverter to patchPanel is OK

3) cat 5 from mediaConverter to 2950 is OK (use crossOver if required)

4) patchPanel termination is OK
