can anybody help me on this.. the ip of a vlan interface determine the ip source of the packets can be pass throuthg those port that belong on that vlan , or its just an interface for management purpouse?
I assume that you are talking about the layer 2 switch management Vlan IP, its a management interface in order to be able to manage the switch remotely by telneting to this IP, since the layer 2 switches takes layer 2 decision, then it doesn't process or alter the IP address of a packet traversing it.
