Can't configure an IP in the 126.96.36.199 range on a Catalyst Express 500g
I have 4 catalyst Express 500G-12TC switches that I am configuring for the first time. I am able to access the initial web setup screen, but when I enter the static IP address (172.16.9.x) that I want to assign to the switch I receive the following error:
"The IP address in the 188.8.131.52 network cannot be configured on this switch."
I have the following information entered:
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
I tried looking in the troubleshooting guide for this switch, but was unable to find anything specific to this error. Does anyone know why I'm unable to configure this IP?
