cisco 837 router

I am new to using cisco routers. Currently have 15 dlink routers but I will be receiving 15 837 routers to replace these. Question is

Currently I use the dlink routers to assign ip addresses for our lan. this is done by cloning the mac address to a static ip address. As I use pcanywhere for remote access /updates this works very well with always having the same ip addresses associated with port numbers. Is it possible to do this with the cisco 837 routers or is it done a different way. I am assuming the routers come with a gui interface. Won't receive routers for another month so I am just doing some prep work

Re: cisco 837 router

There are a couple of ways you can do this. See the links below.

Manual Bindings

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1831/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800ca6b5.html#wp1001108

DHCP-Static Mapping

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5207/products_feature_guide09186a008027fa7c.html

The second option makes your configuration smaller and takes up less NVRAM space.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
