Can i use SG500 as Core switch

4 Replies 4

Hello,

you certainly can. It depends on the size of your network obviously, and what the requirements are regarding bandwidth. What exactly is your business comprised of ?

Sir i will configure as Core.

It will work for big network also but for certain period of time.I will replace it, I used for temporary period of time.

Hello,

the SG500 is marketed as a small business switch. Be aware that (the X versions) support only RIPv2 as a layer 3 routing protocol. Other than that, you can also stack it with up to 8 switches.

Thanks sir giving me for suggestion .

Sir i did not much more configuration in that switch because i have configure everythings in my Cisco switch.

Thanks sir please help me if i have any problem in my network and i thought that you will help me.

Sir I do not have much more experience just 6 months experience so sir i need your help.
