Re: etherchannel configuration on 4507

I think the valid possible combinations for a successful formation of etherchannel are:

desirable + auto

on + on

AFAIK a port in on mode can form a channel only with a port in on mode, because ports in on mode do not exchange PAgP packets.

Could you try changing the echannel option from on to auto and leaving the other one on desirable?

Hi Haris,

Which ports were you trying to use on the supervisors? Keep in mind, that with redundant supervisor IVs, only 1/1 and 2/1 are available.

Re: etherchannel configuration on 4507

Hello,

What were the configurations you used for both sides of the channel. Remember that if you're using a configuration that uses PAgP (desirable, auto) can not form a bundle if it's neighbor doesn't use PAgP (on or off).

Hope this helps.
