If I have a router with 2 ethernet connections, and say I have 2 sites on a les circuit, if the ip scheme im using to connect the routers sits on one of the interfaces that are not directly connected to the switch, i.e remote site is plugged into the eth1 but the ip sits on eth2 to connect the sites, will this work ?

hello carl
Not really sure of your question. Anyway, on the router, you can terminate an ethernet connection and have different subnets on the 2 segments. can you elaborate your problem please?

Hi
What you are asking is simple case of routing
For Eg. You have office network of 192.168.1.0, subnet 255.255.255.0, and your remote network is of 192.168.2.0 subnet 255.255.255.0, then both your networks will be able to communicate with each other.
Since your question is not clear, this is what I had infered.
If any doubts, post again with detailed senerio.
