Why flushes on interface:

Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:32:01

Input queue: 61/256/0/11105 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

Queueing strategy: random early detection(RED)

5 minute input rate 967000 bits/sec, 490 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 693000 bits/sec, 465 packets/sec

910748 packets input, 229996868 bytes

Received 11217 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored

0 watchdog

0 input packets with dribble condition detected

886455 packets output, 171380224

bytes, 0 underruns

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 1 interface resets

0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred

0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out"

input rate 967000 bits/sec, 490 packets/sec - not so big

Hi there,

From what I understand, a flush is when a packet is market for random discard. This is to do with the queuing settings on the box to ensure that it doesn't get too busy - normal operation.
