as title, any idea or any freeware can be share to detect the cisco CRC error/ input error. Even amber light in control panel? I talking if over 100 units of 2950 serial switches was located in difference building.

normally, if syslog configured, switches will send to syslog server a message indicating errors in one particular port

Yes, you r right. But normally the syslog only show which up/down alert just indicate particular network connect and disconnecte
Any other pro-active way to monitor the CRC error?

It isn't freeware, but it can help you get more insight on the CRC-errors in your network ; Cacti!
