Hi,

You have to load the IOS using the Xmodem process. Follow the procedures listed in the link below.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps607/products_tech_note09186a00800946e5.shtml#xmodem

Hope that helps!

Sundar

Hello Josh,

this looks like a hardware failure. Where did you get the switch from ? If you can, issue the command 'show stacks' and post the output here, there is a tool on CCO that might give an indication of what is wrong...

GNT

I dont think so it is a hardware failure becouse at the end copying IOS through Xmodem it will erase ur flash. The uotout is showing copying process is interepted somewhere so pls repeate the procedure once again it keep in mind change the bouad rate for fast speed & ur flash should be erased after copying the IOS.And u can erase flash before copying new IOS.

do you installing the IOS which was previously used or new one?

was a new software...i erased(formatted) the flash before installing the new ios.

Joshua,

I am afraid you have a bad hardware. If you have a maintenace contract with Cisco you can RMA the switch. Unfortuantely, POST failure doesn't have a workaround.

HTH,

Sundar

Thanks.. sorry for getting back so late....it is definitely a hardware failure

thanks
