No Broadband internet, but everything else okay

Sorry for the Noob question. Running the Catalyst 2950 with a pix 501 firewall. All systems are a go and have been functioning fine for over a year. All of a sudden the Broadband internet running through the system is no longer functioning. The broadband modem is working and signal strenght is good. All other applications running via the server are accessible including printers, databases, and video surveillence systems running through the firewall and switch. Any thoughts on where to begin would be great.

It seems to be strange ,there might have been a modification happend n the network accidently knowingly/unknowingly.

1.chk the connection without pix

2.chk pix is appropriately allowed in out & in bound interfaces

3.if pix is removed & the connection is working ,there cud be something wrong with pix config/it may be fault

4.verify 2950 config onceagain.
