No Internet w/ 2 router 1 switch setup

I have the following hardware for my Home Network:

RCA DCM-425-R Cable Modem (Comcast Cable Internet)

Linksys Wireless 4 port router

2 Cisco 2501 Routers

1 Cisco 1924 Switch

1 2006 Dell Laptop w/ XP Home & built in wireless

1 2001 Sony Vaio Laptop w/ XP Home

Additional Inventory :

1 1998 Dell Dimension Desktop w/ Windows ME (not used often)

1 Sun Ultra Sparc Unix Workstation (not being used right now)

Prior to introducing my Cisco equipment, I would connect my two computers to the Linksys and they would obtain IP addresses from the Linksys with the following leased NAT addresses: 192.168.1.100,101,102,103, etc..

I setup the 2 Cisco Routers and 1 Switch all in a row with the following subnets:

Cable Modem (connected to Linksys Wan port)

Linsys Router (192.168.1.1)

|

Cisco 2501 Router A (connected to Port 1)

E0: 192.168.1.2 / 24 (ARPA, Line Up, Protocol Up; AUI connection using Tranceiver connected to Linksys w/ RJ45)

S1: 192.168.3.1 / 24 (DCE, HDLC, Line Up, Protocol Down)

Cisco 2501 Router B (using back to back cable on serial ports s1 and s1)

S1: 192.168.3.2 / 24 (DTE, HDLC, Line Up, Protocol Down)

EO: 192.168.2.1 / 24 (ARPA, Line Up, Protocol Up; AUI connection using Tranceiver connected to Switch w/ RJ45)

Cisco 1924 Switch

E0/1 Connected to Router B?s AUI using Tranceiver (see above)

Sony Vaio Laptop

- tried Dynamic and Static IP settings incl DNS server names but cannot get on internet

- Only Internet connection I get it plugged directly into Linksys available port. However, the connection is superslow when the Cisco equipment is on.

Using Dell Laptop with Console cable and DB-9 connection, I tap into each device (2501 or 1924) to configure them. I have run some tests and am able to ping from the Switch all the way to the Linksys address 192.168.1.1.

NEED HELP!

For starters, your DHCP server (Linksys Router 192.168.1.1), is not on the same network as your clients (192.168.2.x), so dhcp from linksys won't work. Look into ip helper-address command to forward dhcp requests to 192.168.1.1, but even then, if you don't change your pool on the linksys they will get 192.168.1.x addresses, which won't help on 192.168.2.x network. What static are you assigning to laptop?

Hi

On DCE serial of your Cisco 2501 A give a command " clock rate 64000".

Also there are no static routes defined in your case.

2501A> ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.3.2

2501B>ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.3.1

in your Sony laptop give ip

192.168.2.10/24 gateway 192.168.2.1

This should work based on your explaination. Pls revert back in case u find this not working.
