Reza Rezazadeh

I intended to create a LAN and examine VTP pruning on simulation status, but after set a vtp domain and vlans parameters, I can't run a command "vtp prun".

The core device is 3560-24PS.

When I use "vtp ?" only shows "domain, mode, password , version" parameters description.

please help me to active pruning parameter .

PT does not support that command. If I understand pruning correct, the only way to manually do it on PT would be to use the switchport trunk allow vlan command for this.

Cheers,

Jimmy

In order to enable VTP Pruning on a switch, the switch must be configured as VTP server (for the VTP domain).

Can you post the output of the "show vtp status" command?

With due respect Rantunes, VTP pruning is not a feature supported in PT.

You must have a different version of PT...I used 5.1 and 5.2, both show no signs of supporting VTP pruning. You sure you using PT? My image file on PT is c3560-advipservicesk9-mz.122-37.SE1.bin, and whenever I issued the command, it didnt work...
