Router 2507 Ethernet Ports

Hi All,

I have a router 2507 series with 16 Ethernet ports, unfortunately it does not appear in the list of interfaces when i typed "Sh ip int brief" command. Can anyone help with why this is so?.

I only have E0 interface appearing out of all.

Secondly can this be used as an Access server?

Hi

As far as I know those ports must be hub ports. They would work as a transparent standalone hub, so you cant do routing between the 2 ethernet ports.

The ip on e0 would be for all the 16 ports.

Also, what is your objective for access server? Pls explain your requirements.
