I am preparing for CCNA exam. What is the broadcast address of the subnet address 172.16.99.99 255.255.192.0? How do you solve the above?

Thanks.

I am a little rusty but maybe this is correct:

Subnet address is 172.16.64.0 and the broadcast address would be 172.16.127.255

Basically, with a 255.255.192.0 subnet mask, you have, 256 networks in octet 1 and 2, 64 hosts in octect 3 (256-192) which makes 4 networks in octect 3 (256/hosts)

So your actual subnets are (172.16.0.0-172.16.63.255, 172.16.64.0-172.16.127.255, 172.16.128.0-172.16.191.255, 172.16.192.0-172.16.255.255)

First address is subnet address, last address is broadcast..
