Hi,

I am trying to telnet to cisco 2900 switch. I believe there is a VTY password configured. When I give the pasword. I am getting the below error.

"Local flow control off"

"User Access Verification

Password: Connection closed by foreign host."

Appreciate you help help.

Thanks & Regards

connect via console cable and see how telnet is configured

I am at remote place. I tried doing access thru HTTP also , no luck. Is there any way that I can login to switch and verify the configuration.

you need to find a bug in web access to this switch.

the message you get, i think it is due to an access-list on telnet: only one pc can telnet to the switch. may be the management station, if you have one.

Thanks for response. We does have acces to only from one machine in the network. And I got the configuration that is in backup server. Here is the configuration of login access. I believe with the below configuration might be same problem when we console the switch.

Line-Line con 0

line con 0

session-timeout 15

password*****

no vacant-message

login

transport input none

stopbits 1

Line-Line vty 0 4

line vty 0 4

access-class XX in

exec-timeout 15 0

in console we can't define an access list, so you only need to know the password.

but under telnet, you do have an access list. you can only telnet fron that station
