'up arrow key' doesnt work properly on hyper terminal.

hi all,

when changing catalyst switch configuration from Hyper terminal of my PC, I can not use the up arrow key to recall the last command. when I hit the "up arrow key" , some strange characters appears on the command line and executes those without hitting enter!

up arrow key works fine on other computers' hyper terminal.

you all know how useful that key when u r working on CLI.

what can I do to make it work properly?

Hi,

Do the following:

- open up File -> Properties in HyperTerminal

- click on the Settings tab

- change Emulation to VT100

That should do it.

have a look at installing the ´latest´ version of Hyperterminal as well, you can download it at the link below. Latest is relative, since it dates from 2003...:)
