I see ip routing configued on the switch is this switch for any layer 3 function ?

can you try to reconfigure the vlan 2 and vlan 3.

Switch# configure terminal

Switch(config)# vlan 20

Regards,

Pravin

The access points are configured with vlan 2 and vlan 3

Hi,

I am sorry i had a typo mistake. I just wanted you to del the vlan2 and vlan 3 and try reconfiguring it.

Switch# configure terminal

Switch(config)# vlan 2

Switch(config)# vlan 3

Also if you can let us know if there are any errors on the swith also would help.

Since i am not so sure about the setup of the network i will not able to comment much.

As i said there is "ip routing" command in the config is this switch used for any routing ?

If there can be a breaf discription would help.

Regards,

pravin

Well

Looking at your posts, I am bit confused. Do you want to extend your vlans that are created in 3550 to Wireless Access points? or you just wanted to span each vlan in each of the access points ??

And you didn't how you plan to implement inter-vlan routing ??

sorry for too many question ?? just wanted to no few info so that it is easy to comment.

I want to span each vlan in each of the access points

I am posting one of the AP configs attatched to this switch

Looking at your ap config, I think you missed somethings like vlan mapping to ssid and authentication method for that ssid. SSId and VLAN are corelated in the AP configuration.

And make sure your switch has trunk link and that allows vlans only defined in Access points.
