I have a simple LAN with a few client PCs running standard windows VPN client software that need to connect to an external VPN server through a 2811 router which is on my LAN. In order for VPN pass through to work through this 2811 router, does it need the advanced security IOS or will it work fine with just the basic IOS?
Thanks,
Farah

Farah,
For VPN pass-through you don't need the Advanced Security IOS and any IOS image should work.

Thanks a lot for clarifying that Sundar.
Speaking to Cisco I was a little confused about this because they were saying that I would need the advanced security IOS. I am guessing that is probably the case if the router itself is the VPN endpoint which is not so in my case.
