Where are the Comm portsgone?

Hi All,

I have four routers connected to a PC equipped with four serial ports but the HPterminal can only reveal Comm1, which made it impossible to communicate with the remaining routers or even create HPertml for them.

How can i locate the remaining Comm ports?

Are you sure that the drivers for the serial ports on the PC is operational.

I am very curious what kind of PC has 4 serial ports? Are some of these connections perhaps on serial to USB adapters? Or is this some very unusual type of PC?

Hi,

Well you might be curious about a PC with with four serial ports?, i had the PC with one, added a PCI with two serial ports and converted the PC's parallel port to serial (converter). Of course three of them have been working before a need arise to reinstall the PC.

Hi,

Ok, can you please check the drivers, and make sure that the serial ports are visible with no problems, for example in the device manager if you are working with windows.
