Is this an IOS or LWAPP access point your troubleshooting, the reason I ask is because it's possible to disable that Circular status LED from within the software and it's possible it has gotten disabled.
If it is an LWAPP access point, I'd just do a factory reset on the unit and then see if it comes back up or console into it first and see if it is even booting.
if it is an IOS access point console into the unit and enter enable mode by typing en; then enter config mode (conf t), from there you should have an command that is something like status led and the options are enable, disable, blink
This device is LWAPP, not to sound too dumb, but how does one perform a factory reset? I was actually looking for that and I am guessing that pressing the Mode button while applying power will reset it, but the info I have found is not clear.
My apologies, I meant to include that process and just completely lost the train on that one..
To reset to factory remove the power, hold the mode button and re-apply power, hold it for about 2-3 seconds then release it (Ethernet LED will turn Amber), that should clear all config. If you hold it for more than 10 seconds (Ethernet LED turns Red) it will cause it to go into ROMMON mode and look for a tftp server to reload an image..
If you find that you are having a problem. You could try as last resort to downgrade to autonomous and upgrade to LWAPP. I had an issue just yesterday where a client appeared to be dead. I did down/up grade and it came back to life... Odd, cant explain it !
